Each chapter discusses a different area of personality: Spiritual, Mental, Physical, Emotional, Family Relationships, Social, and Financial, in relationship with one another and in symbolic context with a tree. A blending, through understanding and submission, can provide a fruitful existence.

"If you have faith even as small as a tiny mustard seed... nothing would be impossible" (Matthew 17:20).

Christ can make all things possible. Every honest seeker will come into the added dimension of new life in the Lord.

Where does life begin? From what does a tree originate? The entire genetic system is contained within the seed before any part of the growing tree is visible. No matter the type of seed, it will grow to be the kind of tree which is established within.

"The fruit tree yielded fruit after its kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so" (Genesis 1:11).

The tree, as a symbol of your life, gives a tangible example of the importance of the trunk to bring the life-giving nutrients to the branches. There would be no branches if it were not for a strong supportive trunk.

Keeping the channel open from the spiritual self to all areas of life can provide a better understanding of God. Scripture emphasizes the importance of asserting love, wisdom, truth, health, self-expression and spiritual knowledge. These spin dreams, ideas and plans into reality.

"And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:2).

Christ is the Seed. Contained within a seed is everything it takes for the seed to fulfill itself. Every dream has everything in it to produce itself. People are the roots, providing nourishment for the trunk. We have the ability. This ability is released through the channel of God's power.

The trunk represents spiritual life and growth. God directs the spirit potential into the results of life's experiences. This accomplishment is received through concepts, beliefs and attitudes. Each is a complete person with nothing missing. God made us that way.

The trunk requires great strength to support the growing branches. The branches represent the areas in life that we control: mental, physical, emotional, family relationships, social and financial. A healthy and fruitful tree represents life, whole in Christ.

"They are like trees along a river bank bearing luscious fruit each season without fail. Their leaves shall never wither, and all they do shall prosper" (Psalm 1:3).

Scripture is the water supply and sunshine. It provides growth. If every principle considered is first filtered through Scripture, each person receives a favorable, healthy personality and life style.

We grow in the Lord by God's action through the Holy Spirit and through personal commitment, faithfulness and obedience. We become a new creation in Christ. We can have the image of God restored. We gain a togetherness with the Holy Spirit that is not centered on the "old" self.

We gain a togetherness that contains the seed of productivity. One's personality, though it still may hold some unfavorables from the old self, is made in the image of God and has, through divine grace, capacity for goodness. We can let go of the unfavorables and become totally available for God's goodness. The potential is within. Each of us is important and valuable as a person.

Life is a limitless resource. The more access given to God's creativity and capability, the more submissive we become to His Spirit working in our lives. His qualities are within each person. These are our heritage. Each is given the ability, through Christ, to release these qualities.

"I can do all things, through Christ, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).

Is there a desire to continue growing? There is always more if we are willing to allow the Spirit to express Himself fully through our lives and surroundings.

God is the beginning and essence of all growth as a union between our spirit and His Spirit. He rescues us from the unfavorable cycle where souls get caught. He brings us into the favorable, life-breathing cycle for which the soul longs.
